Message from Joan Starr…

I am excited to be the newly appointed CEO of Kids Ecology Corp.  KEC has a tremendous history of service.  Since 1988, KEC has brought ecological education to over one hundred thousand kids through our in school/after school programs.   Seventy thousand kids have participated in the hands on active programs we offer.  These are impressive statics in which KEC takes great pride and joy.

To continue our good work, KEC is committed to blending exciting media technology to our already innovative programming in order to service our community and now, reach beyond.

We recognize the exponential increase of opportunity of this  digital age to reach larger populations of kids.  The KEC board has unanimously voted to extend our scope and reach  by utilizing digital, online and distance learning strategies.  Using social media interactive video, KEC creates the ability to reach the ‘connected audiences’ anywhere.  KEC becomes a mobile ecology lab, an effective teaching/learning resource for students, teachers, families and the communities in which they live ~ near and far.

In keeping with KEC’s mission and traditions, there’s much yet to be done.  We have completed our planning phase and are ready too implement.  We welcome you to join us in our ecological journey to better planet Earth through nurturing generations of youth learning to care and preserve a fragile ecology for all.
